It was late 1906, when the Hetton Coal mining complex, Newcastle, sent a party of workmen to develop the site at Hebburn Colliery near Weston. Among this group were quite a number of Geordie Football enthusiats who, persuaded a group to form a Football club... The rest is a rich footballing history.

Today the Weston Workers Bears play in the Northern NSW National Premier League and offer a superb environment for young players to develop and senior players to perform.
